Come use your deep knowledge of enterprise integration technologies and help us solve complex problems with tough constraints. The Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Kernel Quality Engineering (QE) team is looking for a Quality Engineer to join us in Brno, Czech Republic. In this role, you will work on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) with some of the brightest engineers in the open source community to create innovative solutions for the modern open source technology. You'll participate in the product release cycle of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and in the formal requirements and engineering response processes to coordinate open source requirements and expectations. As a Quality Engineer, you will also contribute to open source projects while delivering enterprise-ready offerings that are based on these projects and are suitable for use by our customers.
Primary job responsibilities

Communicate and coordinate dates, deliverables, kernel reviews, feature requirements, roadmaps, etc.
Maintain the tests and testing workflows, build mechanisms, and automate and perform initial functional testing prior to submission to the QE team
Monitor, manage, and help fix issues identified during functional, non-functional, platform, and acceptance testing
Monitor and maintain the continuous integration (CI) builds of our offerings
Collaborate with the Engineering, QE, Documentation, and product build teams and the open source community

Required skills

Solid Linux administration background; Red Hat certification is a plus
Proficient in Bash scripting
Experience with Git
Basic knowledge of Python or C programming language
Effective written and verbal communication skills in English
Understanding of the Linux kernel and debugging technologies and techniques is a big plus
Experience with sustaining engineering and open source software is and advantage
